An Entreprebeurship Development Cell (EDC) is an organization or cell within an academic institution that aims to promote and support entrepreneurship among students. EDC in the college is set up by IQAC in 2019 with the objective of bridging the gap between industry and academia and fostering entrepreneurial skills among students. Chairman of EDC is Principal Dr.Nandini Velhankar and member of EDC is Mrs.Jyoti Bhoi. Both of them belong to department of Economics and arrange motivational programs for students as activities of their brain child EDC. EDC organised seminar by Mr. Pawar in August 2019. He motivated students to start their own small business instead of seeking employment. Government can create favourable regulatory environment by implementing policies that reduce barriers to ,simplify business registration process and provide tax incentives for startups. Chairperson of EDC Prin. Dr. Velhankar delivered lecture on Women Entrepreneurs and schemes of state and central governments to help these entrepreneurs. EDC encouraged students to stich cotton bags as an initiative to create plastic free society. These bags were distributed to locals to encourage them to avoid use of plastic bags to carry daily essentials. EDC and DLLE jointly encourage the students to undertake entrepreneurial activities like preparing and selling various food items, readymade garments and stationery to college students. Under the guidance of EDC, NSS students make beautiful rakhees and send them to Indian soldiers of Maratha infantry.
